Wait For It

By Meg Pittman Kelsey

“Look at the nations and watch- and be utterly amazed.

For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told…

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.

Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
Habakkuk 1:5 and 2:3

This verse doesn’t directly address love, but when a friend shared it with me I thought of our “love revolution”.

From the first email, I knew that this was the start of something big. I really believe that this challenge, this call to love, will change our lives as Elizabeth wrote in the first blog. We have just passed the half-way point to Lent and I wanted to encourage everyone to keep pursuing the Lord like never before. Just from reading certain comments on the blog it’s obvious that relationships with Jesus are already being impacted and ignited.

The Lord calls us to search and to be expectant. He wants to reveal His heart to us. As we seek to experience a new level of intimacy with the Lord, He will respond in ways we can’t even imagine. We WILL find Him. God promises in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” As we call on the Lord together daily, let’s prepare to be absolutely blown away by our Father’s love.

Father, I pray that each morning I would wake up in joyful anticipation of how your overwhelming love will be poured out that day. I know you are doing mighty things in my heart and in my life, and I commit this journey of intimacy to you. I thank you for what is to come, for the things I can’t even imagine. You are sovereign and powerful, and I pray that nations would be transformed as this love revolution explodes. I thank you for your perfect timing and I pray that my will would be aligned with yours. God, I love you today. Today is yours.
