There’s Aways Tomorrow

Who wouldn’t want to snuggle with this little guy all day?!
(Little B at the end of his first crawfish boil back in April)

Yesterday was just one of those days that needed to end.  Do you ever have those days?  The days when nothing seems to work out the way you planned, the hours seem to tick by much faster than the work you need to accomplish, and something just feels off. And in my case, in this new season of life as a mom, Little B basically wanted to eat every hour on the hour and had to be held at all times, making the day I had planned take on a totally different shape, and making me even more grateful for the gift of the Moby wrap.

Last week, I was visiting a friend who had recently given birth to twins–some of the most precious twins that you ever did see!  At one point, we were talking about babies and their schedules and she said, “The thing is, if a baby has an off day, or you all get off your schedule, you just have to remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day to start over and get it right!”

Don’t you love that?  Or, as I’ve mentioned before, as the Anne’s beloved teacher, Miss Stacey, says in Anne of Green Gables, “Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it.”

So this morning, I’m grateful for the gift of a new day.

When you have a day where it seems like nothing is working out the way you need it to, go to bed early and wake up the next morning, thankful for the gift of a new day.

This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
