Perfect Love

“I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)
At the Devoted Conference last week, that I promise to stop talking about soon, we sang a song called “One Thing Remains” that I’d lever heard before.  I immediately fell in love and I just adore how it sings about God’s love being a love that:
  • Never Fails
  • Never Gives Up
  • Never Runs Out
  • Overwhelms and Satisfies
  • Conquers Fears
  • Pays Our Debts
  • Cannot be Severed

I know God loves me, but sometimes I forget just how strong, perfect, and powerful His love for me truly is.

“May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.”
Ephesians 3:18 (NLT)
See the lyrics and song below!

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
constant in the trial and the change

One thing remains

Your love never fails
Never gives up
Never runs out on me

Because on and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I’ll never, ever, have to be afraid

One thing remains

In death
In life
I’m confident and covered by the Power of Your great love

My dept is paid
There’s nothing that can separate
My heart from Your great love
