Today, I have big announcement to share on the blog! It’s long overdue and I’m SO excited to share it with you all in this space!
I’ve been talking a lot about “Happy Chaos” lately, in part, because it’s the current status of my life, but also partly because I’m preparing for things to get a lot “Happier” and slightly more “Chaotic” come November as we prepare to welcome a new BABY GIRL into our family!!
That’s right, our family of 3 is expanding to a family of 4!! And even at just 23 weeks, this little one is a mover and shaker, constantly kicking up a storm!
Several of you clued in to what was going on back in mid-March when my blogging dropped dramatically. Thank you to those of you who checked in on me–I’ve been great, I just wasn’t prepared for how much this little girl would wipe me out in the early stages of pregnancy. Even though you can’t see exactly what’s going on, growing a tiny human takes a lot out of you, so I’m trying to rest, drink lots of water, and put my feet up whenever possible (thanks for the tip, Josie!)
Little B doesn’t fully understand what’s happening, but he knows there’s a “baby” in my rapidly growing belly, and loves to pat it and give it kisses. He also thinks there’s something hilarious about my protruding belly and just looks at it and laughs–just what a girl needs!
For weeks, he’s been saying he was going to have a “brudder” (I think because brother is so much easier for him to say than sister). Even at night when we would pray for him before bed, if I forgot to pray for the baby, he would look at me and say, “brudder, brudder!” and we would pray for the baby in mommy’s tummy. (At least someone is remembering to pray for this sweet girl, when my mind is too scattered to remember!)
We took Little B to the 20-week ultrasound and he was fascinated. We have one tiny picture of her hanging on our refrigerator and he grabs it, kisses it, and says, “brudder!” So we are slowly working to teach him to say, “SIS-TER,” and encouraging him with the fact that he gets to be the “big brudder.” Luckily, we have 17 more weeks to get these details hammered out before baby girl makes her big debut.
So that’s our news, we can’t wait to introduce you to the newest member of the Williams clan this fall!
Thanks for sharing in our joy!
