Love That Won’t Fail

I don’t know about you, but as women, I think it’s easy to find ourselves in a place where we feel inadequate, or terrified of failing.  We try so hard to be everything to everyone and let’s face it, there’s just not enough time in the day.

There are all kinds of expectations to live up to, some we place on ourselves and others that are thrust upon us, and it can be tough to feel like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t live up to the perfect mother, wife, daughter, friend, employee, student that you desire to be…

Similar to the assurance of God’s constant presence we talked about yesterday, another truth to which we can cling to is this: no amount of failure or falling short will ever change God’s love for us; it’s not something we can ever lose.  His love never fails.

Cling to His love, wrap yourself up in it, and know that no matter how inadequate you may be feeling, there is nothing you can do to shake His love for you.

“Though the mountains be shaken
    and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10
