The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul…
Lately, on Wednesdays, I’ve begun posting a shorter verse or passage. I think in the midst of the busyness of life, a simple verse can be just the thing we need to carry us through the rest of the week and refresh our tired and worn out hearts. When I read a verse like Psalm 23, I think of it in terms of inhaling and exhaling.
Inhale Psalm 23:1-3–pause and take a deep breath and inhale the truth that God is your shepherd, he leads you to places of rest, and he continually restores your soul.
Let that truth rest with you for a minute.
Exhale peace, assurance, and renewal.
