So technically we’re a month into fall, but for me, this is the first long stretch of fall we’ve had this year in Virginia. Hopefully the 80 degree days are gone and we can finally usher in the crisp autumn air. I mean, there are boots, sweaters, pashminas, and tights, just itching to be worn!
Pumpkin Anything—lattes, candles, muffins, cookies, soup, orzo, decorations!
Pashminas—ever since I was 16 and my mom and I went to this sketchy pashmina sale in a hotel room in NYC (we’re kind of professional bargain hunters) where I found and fell in love with my first pashmina, I’ve been hooked.
Football & Tailgates—so we’re not always good, but we do pull off an occasional upset. I love UVA football, and more importantly, I love the tailgates!
Fires—there’s something so warm and inviting about a real fire in the fireplace. I’m hoping Sunday will be our inaugural fire in our little tree house.
Hiking at the perfect temperature—as Miss Rhode Island would say from Miss Congeniality, “it’s not too hot, not too cold, and all you need is a light jacket.” I love hiking when I don’t have to break into a massive sweat.
You’ve Got Mail—one of my all time favorite movies that must be watched each fall.
