Hi my friends!  I’ve had a great break this week, but I’ve missed you this week!  It was great to have some time to recharge, refocus, and return once again into God’s redeeming and refreshing arms.  His love and pursuit of our hearts never fails to blow me away.

Today, we’re doing something a little different.  We’re having our first giveaway!  I’ve been meaning to do this for some time, but for one reason or another, I’ve deferred.

So, get excited, today is the day!  One lucky person will have the chance to win a copy of Trish Ryan’s second book, A Maze of Grace.

If you don’t know Trish, you should.  You totally should.  Her first book, He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not,  chronicles the story of how she discovers her faith and ultimately finds the happily-ever-after ending she has always longed for.  (Currently on sale at Amazon!)

What I love about Trish is the refreshing way she talks openly about her heart, her struggles, and the truths that carry her through.  As far as Christian writers and books go, Trish is a breath of fresh air.

This leads me to her second book, A Maze of Grace (isn’t that the best title??)  Here, Trish “sweeps the reader into her life and ponders questions and issues that we all face, dropping nuggets of wisdom along the way that are sure to inspire, encourage and help women in all walks of life.”

Here’s a little excerpt:

“One of the best parts of my faith is that it allows do-overs.  Jesus is the only spiritual leader I’ve found who says, “Come to me when you’re messed up and I’ll give you a second chance.”  This book is a collection of the ways I’ve taken him up on this offer.  My history is littered with stories of me jumping wildly into one pool or another, never once thinking to check whether or not it held any water.  I’ve gotten better, just as Jesus suggested I would.  But growing up rarely happens in a straight trajectory.  More often it comes in wild surges and sudden U-turns, and that’s been the case with me.  Steve and I wandered around corners and hills expecting to find Happily Ever After, only to be blindsided by things we never saw coming.  And yet we were also blindsided—or blanketed, depending on your perspective—grace we never anticipated, and a God who has taken infinitely good care of us each awkward step of the way,”

To enter, leave a comment below and tell us about a book you’ve read, plan to read, or heard of recently designed to challenge, strengthen, or encourage us in our faith.  It can be pretty much anything, Christian or secular; fiction or non-fiction; you can even do a study, devotional, or a book of the Bible.

Comments will be open through Tuesday night and we’ll announce the winner Wednesday morning.
