Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Somehow as we sprung forward, we went from 8 inches of snow, to 65 degree days!  It was amazing!  Saturday, we were headed out the door to an engagement party and I started getting all bundled up, and B looked at me and said, “Ummm….I don’t really think you need a scarf.  It’s 65 degrees outside!”  How was I supposed to know, I mistakenly assumed that when there’s still snow on the ground, you need to bundle up.  Silly me!

Needless to say, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent much of our days outside.

They say once you become a parent, all of a sudden, you become increasingly aware of God’s love for you and I continue to see evidence of that each day.

Yesterday, I took Little B on a walk and kept noticing that the sun was right in his face as he slept.

That simply would not do for my fair skinned little cub!  So, as we walked along, I kept trying to tilt my head sideways, to make sure I was giving him the shade he needed to sleep in peace.  Each time the sun shifted, I shifted right along with it.

That morning, we had read from the Jesus Calling Bible Storybook, Psalm 91:4:

 He will cover you with his feathers.

    He will shelter you with his wings.

    His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

And as I was strolling down the sidewalk, straining my neck and tilted sideways as we moved along, all in an effort to protect my baby boy, that verse took on a new meaning as I became increasingly aware of the covering and shelter that our God goes out of His way to provide for His children.
Make no mistake about it, you are so loved by our God.  Under His watch, we are covered, sheltered, and protected.  Duck underneath His wings and rest in His faithful promises.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High

    will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;

    he is my God, and I trust him.
Psalm 91:1-2 (NLT)
