Psalm 63:3 (New Living Translation)
In Psalm 63, we see David expressing his longing and desire for more of the Lord. The NIV version of today’s verse declares, “I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you”
After spending a week and a half dwelling on God’s incredible love, I hope you are beginning to see that God’s perfect love is truly better than life itself. There is nothing better than His sacrificial, lavish, unfailing, rich, abundant, everlasting, unabandoned, steadfast, delightful love. May our hearts continue to draw closer to the Lord as we reflect on His unfailing love.
Lord, whom do I have in heaven besides you? Earth has nothing I desire besides you. My heart and my flesh may fail, but you are the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:25-26) Thank you for satisfying me with a love that is better than life. I pray that I will love you more than I love my own life—there is nothing on this earth that even comes close to comparing with you.
