Jeremiah 32:17 (NIV)
The summer before seventh grade was when I really began to experience what a relationship with Christ really looked like. At a camp one night, the Gospel was presented to me in a very real way and for the first time ever I began to understand the sacrifice Christ paid for me by dying on the cross.
That night I remember looking up at a clear sky filled with stars thinking, the God of the Universe who created and formed each one of those stars loved me enough to send His son to the earth to die for me. I sat there and cried, because the love, power, and sacrifice were too much to comprehend. In all of His power and glory, how did He have time to save me?
We love and serve a very real and powerful God. Nothing is too hard for Him. Just like the angel told Mary, “Nothing is impossible with God.”
We read that, but do we really believe that? Sometimes it’s hard to fully trust. Sometimes we grow impatient and think, “God, I know you say, ‘all things are possible’ but even this?” Yes, even this!
I pray that as our hearts continue to fall in love with the Lord, we will have a deep love for His incredible power. I pray that we will see what God is truly capable of and as our hearts grow in love, they will also grow in possessing an unwavering faith in our Creator.
Lord, I know You are worthy of my praise. I believe that You created the heavens and the earth. You alone are God. I pray that I will learn to revere Your power and truly believe that “nothing is too hard for you.” Lord, I want a heart that loves all of You. Today, I pray for a heart that loves and believes in Your incredible power—all things are possible with You!
