All Hail The King

I don’t know about you, but for a competitive person like me, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of elections.  I love a good competition!  Ever since I was 8-years-old and went around putting up yard signs all over the city and holding a mock election for my third grade class, I’ve been hooked.
Yesterday, I even teared up at the polling station, because I love America, I love voting, and I love my strong ties to my political party…then I teared up even more when I realized the next time I vote for a President, our baby boy will almost be 4 years old!  Yikes!  Talk about a lot of developmental milestones to take place during this next administration!  Yes, I’m pregnant and hormonal…
Yes, the day we found out our baby was a boy, over lunch, I told B that I wasn’t ready to have our baby get married and leave me for another woman…I’m a mess!  But, I’m grateful that I have a husband who can listen to me and put up with my crazy, irrational, hormonal thoughts…believe me, he’s a trooper!
I’m also grateful that at the end of the day, we live in a country where we can argue, debate, campaign, and vote for our elected officials.  Yet no matter who’s in control, our hope, our trust, and our confidence is not dependent on these leaders, but on the risen God!
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Psalm 20:7
He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.
Revelation 17:14
